I'm not so sure they want to stay permanently safe from attacks. Why play this game then? I think, unfortunately,cheap coc gems  it is the only way some players can stay in the game long enough to build up a throne room that will give them a fighting chance against higher might and more experienced players and/or players with good to wonderful tr's. The alliance system no longer provides that. If reinforcements could carry in their TR's,  cheap clash of clans gems that might help some. Currently they can't. So, like you, I feel there needs to be some changes made, but I don't feel they should be one-sided, ie, slanted toward the higher might, better TR crowd. They already have enough advantages.
